Sick Zombie Inkwork Prints
(original art has been sold)
so, I was doing style exercises in practice to get an idea of what I wanted issue one of SICKness to look like. I was exploring different zombies and doing gesture sketches and I did a very simple sketch of this pose. I then enlarged the gesture sketch and used liquid ink, brush pen, white out, and gel pen, and I ended up creating this sick gnarly-looking zombie. I really enjoy the abstraction and the energy that you can feel from this artwork. I had the zombie done, and the artwork felt good, but slightly empty, for some reason I decided to add a cat looking at the zombie, I think it ended up making the artwork even better.
