The Frilled Dragon
This artwork had an interesting start. I was doing random gesture sketches of ideas for creatures and the idea of this guy came alive on paper; however, it took me a month or so to decide to add color. I scanned the gesture sketch, took it to photoshop, cleaned up the linework a little, and then threw some stylized colors on it. I like this style and I explore variations of it all the time now, this quick artwork was the start of something different and new for me.
